The 2003 Enka
Mini Camp was a huge success. Twenty-seven campers attended
our four-day camp which helps prepare our wrestlers for the rigorous
ASU Camp in Boone. Daniel Elliott, a current wrestler at
Gardner Webb University, provided the instruction for the week
along with Jeff Lyons, a recent Enka graduate who is currently
wrestling at Campbell University.

Andrew
Roberts' summer defines dedication to wrestling. Andrew
attended developmental camp at UNCP, two weeks of J. Robinson's
Intensive camp in Pennsylvania, and team camp at Appalachian
State. In addition, Andrew wrestled in both the NHSCA National
High School Open in Norfolk, Va. and in the Freestyle/Greco nationals
in Fargo, ND. In the above picture, Andrew (top) is wrestling
in the semi-finals of the ASU camp
tournament, where he was crowned
champion of the 125 lb. weight class.

The
2003 fall leaf raking fundraiser netted our team over $1,000,
which is
being saved to purchase a much-needed wrestling mat. In
this photo our wrestlers are working hard at John Spurrier's
house. Because this saved him many hours of chores at home,
John was very thankful for this fundraiser.
